Bernardo Silva's Late Goal Keeps Manchester City's Double Hopes Alive
Manchester City Defeat Chelsea 1-0 in FA Cup Semi-Final
Silva's Goal Secures Victory After Pulsating 4-4 Draw in Premier League
Manchester City kept their hopes of a domestic double alive on Saturday as Bernardo Silva's late goal earned them a 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium.
The Premier League champions, who had drawn 4-4 with Chelsea in the league just a few weeks earlier, were made to work hard for the win by a stubborn Blues side.
City dominated possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances, with Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga making a string of fine saves.
However, Silva popped up with the winner in the 70th minute, finishing off a fine move involving Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.
The win means that City are now just one game away from completing a domestic double, with the Premier League title race still very much alive.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will be disappointed to have lost their grip on the FA Cup, but they can still salvage their season by winning the Champions League.
