Changing the background color of a single page in Microsoft Word can be a tricky task. However, it is definitely doable with a few simple steps.

Method 1: Using a Shape

The simplest method is to insert a shape that covers the entire page and set its fill color to the desired color. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page you want to change the color of.
  2. Click the "Insert" tab.
  3. Click the "Shapes" button.
  4. Select the "Rectangle" shape.
  5. Draw the rectangle to cover the entire page.
  6. Right-click on the rectangle and select "Format Shape".
  7. Click the "Fill" tab.
  8. Select the desired color.
  9. Click "OK".

Method 2: Using a Section Break

Another method is to insert a section break before and after the page you want to change the color of. Then, you can change the background color of the new section. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page before the page you want to change the color of.
  2. Click the "Layout" tab.
  3. Click the "Breaks" button.
  4. Select the "Next Page" section break.
  5. Go to the page after the page you want to change the color of.
  6. Repeat steps 3-4.
  7. Select the new section that you created.
